Perth teens charged over mosque fire

Two boys, aged 13 and 14, have been charged after allegedly causing $75,000 damage to St Mary's Mosque in Nollamara.

Two teenage boys have been charged over a fire at a disused mosque in Perth's northern suburbs.

The deliberately lit fire at St Mary's Mosque in Nollamara was reported to police on the evening of August 13.

The teens, aged 13 and 14, allegedly caused $75,000 worth of damage to the building.

They have each been charged with one count of aggravated burglary and criminal damage by fire, and will appear in the Perth Children's Court on September 11.
