Perth truckie charged over cyclist crash

A 48-year-old truck driver will face court next month over a crash with a cyclist in East Perth that left the 61-year-old rider with serious injuries.

A 48-year-old truck driver has been charged more than two months after he allegedly struck a cyclist in East Perth, leaving the 61-year-old man with serious injuries.

The crash occurred on Riverside Drive at around 4.45am on September 4.

Police said on Sunday the truck driver had been charged with careless driving causing grievous bodily harm and will face Perth Magistrates Court on December 4.
