Peter Conde appointed as new AIS director

Peter Conde has been appointed as the Australian Institute of Sport's new director, taking over from Matt Favier.

Former Australian Sailing high performance boss Peter Conde has been appointed director of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).

He will take over from Matt Favier who left the AIS in June to take up a job as Hockey Australia's chief executive.

Conde was in charge when the Australian sailing team claimed four gold medals and four silver medals at the past two Olympic Games.
