His nickname is 'Bash', but former Springboks flyhalf Peter Grant hopes to be noticed for his zing when he links with the Western Force next Super Rugby season.
Grant has joined the Force as their international marquee on a two-year deal.
He almost joined the Perth-based franchise in 2009, but decided to stay at the Stormers in a bid to boost his international prospects.
The 31-year-old will bring vital experience to a young Force outfit that finished last in 2015.
And he's been given the green light by coach Michael Foley to inject urgency into the backline's play.
"I'm excited about that. I love attacking, flowing rugby," said Grant, who will replace Sias Ebersohn in the No.10 jersey.
"I'm not the quickest man on the park, but hopefully I can move the ball around quick enough to the speedy guys.
"There's lots of experience there in the forwards.
"Matt Hodgson will make sure the boys give us backs some really good ball, because we've got some exciting guys to release out wide."
Grant revealed his nickname of Bash had nothing to do with his rugby feats.
"It's a family nickname since I've had as a kid," he said.
"I was a chubby, clumsy baby.
"It's got nothing to do with rugby, but it sounds good though."
Grant, who more recently played for French club La Rochelle and Japanese outfit Kobe Steel, is one of the most experienced players in Super Rugby.
In 104 Super Rugby appearances with the Stormers, he scored 866 points - placing him seventh on the competition's all-time scorers' list.
Grant's parents and two uncles live in Perth, making his move to the Force a smooth transition.
Joining Grant at the Force in 2016 is former Queensland centre Ben Tapuai, who hopes the move will get him back into Wallabies contention.
