The pair will perform at the Global Citizen Festival at Hamburg's Barclaycard Arena alongside Coldplay, Ellie Goulding and Herbert Groenemeyer, who have already confirmed their attendance, organisers said in a statement.
The free, ticketed concert will take place on the eve of the two-day Group of 20 summit, which brings together the world's most powerful leaders.
Some 9000 tickets will be given to those who sign up online and pledge action to encourage world leaders to deliver concrete commitments on their responsibility to help the world's most vulnerable groups.
