Hackers have disrupted phone services for two Victorian police stations using a denial of service attack.

Geelong police stations had their phones knocked out on Tuesday with St Kilda station also attacked on Monday.

"Geelong police station is currently experiencing a 'denial of service (DOS) attack on their telephone system," a message on the Geelong Eyewatch page said on Tuesday.

Members of the public report missed calls from different mobile numbers who leave abusive voicemail messages or a message to call the station directly.
