Picasso prints fetch more than £1m each

They were among 57 works by the Spanish artist sold at Sotheby's in London.

A 1935 print, called La Minotauromachie, sold for STG1.2 million ($A2 million) which is more than double its guide price.

An etching from 1937 called La Femme Qui Pleure (Weeping Woman) which was predicted to sell for STG700,000 fetched STG1.09 million ($A1.81 million).

It was created by Picasso as a study for his famous mural, Guernica, which marked the bombing of the Basque town during the Spanish Civil War.
