Pirelli has renewed its Formula One engagement by three years until 2019.
"We can confirm that the commercial deal for 2017-2019 has been reached. The official procedure will follow," the Italian tyre maker tweeted during the Russian Grand Prix on Sunday.
Pirelli has been the exclusive tyre supplier since 2011 and the current deal was until 2016.
French company Michelin had also reportedly been interested in a return to the sport.
