US rapper Pitbull has earned nearly $US1 million ($A1.38 million) for singing at a private party of a 15-year-old girl in Texas, USA, the online magazine TMZ reports.

The singer was the highlight of the party of a young girl from San Antonio, Texas. He performed a one-hour show for which he earned nearly a million dollars, according to what the girl's mother revealed to TMZ on Thursday.

Another US singer, Nick Jonas, also performed at the party. According to the media, he was paid roughly $US200,000 for another hour of show.

The girl, named Maya Henry, uploaded photos with both singers on her Instagram account, in which she also appears with other music stars such as Justin Bieber and the British group One Direction, and with politicians such as Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

For her birthday party, the girl, who is the daughter of injury and accident lawyer Thomas Henry, wore two dresses; each one of them cost $US20,000, according to her family.
