A pizzeria in Berlin has set a world record by creating a pizza topped with 111 different types of cheese, a judge from Guinness World Records said on Thursday.
"Every bite tastes different," said Lena Kuhlmann, a judge for the company that issues the annual reference book for world records.
"The crust and the base look crispy and none of it is burnt."
The pizza, which was topped with cheeses including mozzarella, roquefort, pecorino and emmental, was eaten immediately after being inspected by the judges.
Kuhlmann said it was the first time that an achievement of this kind had been recorded, adding that a small pizzeria in Portland, Oregon had once created a pizza with 101 types of cheese but it was never officially recorded.
