Plane makes emergency landing in Brisbane

A Virgin Australia flight from Coolangatta to Sydney has made an emergency landing in Brisbane after engine problems were detected.

A passenger flight from Coolangatta to Sydney has made an emergency landing in Brisbane after experiencing engine troubles.

The Virgin Australia flight touched down in Brisbane about 10pm on Thursday and firefighters were quickly on scene.

The pilot is understood to have spotted the engine problems shortly after take-off and diverted the plane.

There are no reported injuries of passengers or staff.
