Play on Indigenous death in custody opens in Sydney

The debut production by emerging Koori playwright Nakkiah Lui, called "This Heaven", has opened in Sydney. 'This Heaven' is the story about the death in custody of a father and his family's reaction on the night they're told the police have been acquitted of his murder.

The writer says it's a prophecy about what might happen when people lose their faith in the law - and it hits hard.

'This Heaven' runs at the Belvoir until the 10th of March.
