Play set to resume at Auckland tennis

Play at the Auckland men's tennis classic looks set to resume, after being suspended by rain just minutes into the day's first match.

Play finally looks set to resume at the Auckland men's tennis Classic after rain had put a dampener on the tournament's second day.

Tuesday's opening session had only just begun, with Germans Philipp Kohlschreiber and Benjamin Becker playing a mere two points in the first game before rain set it.

With the court not cleared until five hours later, organisers postponed the day's doubles schedule and spread the remaining six singles matches across three courts for the night session.
