The Australian Hazara community is calling for more protection of the ethnic Hazara minority in Afghanistan.

They want more public awareness of the ongoing kidnapping of Hazaras and the lack of information regarding their condition.

The Australian Hazara Federation says the Australian government should pressure Afghanistan's government to do more to end persecution of the Hazaras.

Spokesman Ali Karimi told Zara Zaher the human rights situation for Hazaras in Afghanistan is worsening.
