Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has sidestepped questions about the prospects of Donald Trump leading the US, saying he is sure voters will make a wise decision.
When asked about the rise of the controversial Republican candidate for the presidential nomination, he said it was better he did not engage in US political commentary.
"I'm sure the American people will make a wise decision at the end of the day," he told a leadership event sponsored by The West Australian newspaper in Perth on Wednesday.
