Malcolm Turnbull has revealed he doesn't support legalising euthanasia, as Victoria considers changing its criminal code.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull does not support making euthanasia legal.

Victoria is considering changing its criminal laws to allow doctors to euthanise people, but there is no legal scope for federal intervention.

"If there was a vote on it again tomorrow, I would not vote for it," Mr Turnbull told Neil Mitchell on 3AW radio, saying it was a very heartfelt debate.
