The Queensland premier has fired another salvo in her public stoush with the prime minister, saying he seems to have forgotten where Queensland is.

Annastacia Palaszczuk says the federal budget has dudded Queensland, with not one cent guaranteed for Brisbane's Cross River Rail project, despite its status as Australia's top infrastructure project.

"Obviously he's forgotten where Queensland is. Maybe I need to invite him back up here and give him a bit of a tour to remind him how important this state is," she told the Nine network on Friday.

The premier is furious about the lack of dedicated funding for Cross River Rail in Tuesday's budget.

Queensland will instead have to compete with other states for funds, under a $10 billion National Rail Fund.

"It's a slap in the face, when our number one infrastructure project is also the number one infrastructure project in Australia, and we don't even get one single cent," Ms Palaszczuk said.

The premier has been scathing of Malcolm Turnbull in recent weeks, branding him arrogant, disrespectful, and a worse prime minister than Tony Abbott.

Mr Turnbull has said he can't understand why the premier has launched such a personal and bitter attack against him, saying it was uncalled for and unnecessary.
