Malcolm Turnbull should take the opportunity on his "world tour" to make clear that Pauline Hanson's views are not the views of the government, Labor frontbencher Penny Wong says.
Senator Wong said Senator Hanson's controversial first speech to the upper house last week has attracted media attention, just as Mr Turnbull is in New York to address the United Nations.
"I think it is very important the prime minister show leadership on this and be clear with Australians but also the international community that she doesn't speak for us," Senator Wong told ABC television on Sunday.
