Malcolm Turnbull has briefly put politics aside on the campaign trail to pay tribute to Australia's Paralympians.

At the team launch in Homebush on Monday with Labor's sports spokesman Jim Chalmers, Mr Turnbull told the group the nation and both major parties were proud of them.
