Malcolm Turnbull will spend the rest of the working week touring Queensland to spruik the federal budget.

The prime minister is in Brisbane on Wednesday before travelling to Rockhampton and Emerald.

Mr Turnbull was in Adelaide on Tuesday to announce the government's $89 billion naval shipbuilding program.
