Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will give his first major economic speech since winning the federal election.

He is expected to address the Committee for Economic Development lunch at Melbourne's Grand Hyatt Hotel on Wednesday.

It is Mr Turnbull's first major address since the federal election in July.
