Australia No.8 David Pocock is proud of the his side's defensive efforts despite their first defeat to Wales in a decade.
The Wallabies, who had shipped 81 points in their previous two Tests against Argentina and New Zealand, were much improved against the Welsh who edged to a 9-6 win in Cardiff courtesy of a late Dan Biggar penalty.
While the attacking game struggled against a robust and desperate Welsh defence, Pocock said there was plenty to be proud of on the other side of the ball.
"Our defence was good tonight but our attack didn't fire but that happens sometimes," he said.
"Defensively we worked hard, I was really proud of the defensive effort.

"We pressured well on their ball and scrambled well when we had to.
"Obviously there are some penalties out that we have to look at and try to clean up."
Pocock said he doesn't know if he will play against European minnows Italy in Padua next week as the Wallabies seek just a fourth win in 14 games.
Pocock, who was Australia's outstanding player at the Principality Stadium, said it is vital that the mood in the camp - despite such a poor 2018 season - remains upbeat with the World Cup less than a year away.
"There is no way around it it has been a tough year," he said.
"But there is no lack of motivation. You are playing for your country and putting everything in during the week.
"In the games there is always stuff we can improve but I was really proud of that effort today.
"Everyone loves winning, when you grow up playing footy you love to win.
"The challenge is to learn from the losses and there has been plenty this year.
"Hopefully we can do that."
