Pocock not going anywhere: manager

David Pocock is entirely committed to the Wallabies and Brumbies, despite receiving other offers, according to his manager.

Rugby World Cup superstar David Pocock is attracting offers but his manager says the flanker remains committed to Australian rugby for at least another season.

Pocock has reportedly been approached by Bordeaux, while fellow French Top 14 clubs Toulouse and Racing 92 are also said to be interested.

"There are a number of offers that have landed," manager Brian Levin Levine told Reuters. "None are being considered at this stage.

"David will be taking a break for four weeks, getting over the niggles he picked up during the World Cup.

"He is firmly committed to the 2016 season with the Brumbies and the ARU (Australian Rugby Union)."

Pocock was a standout performer at the World Cup, securing more breakdown turnovers than any other player.

In August, he signed a one-year deal with the ARU and Brumbies for 2016.

That will likely take him past the 60-Test mark, which would allow him to represent the Wallabies even if playing for a club overseas.

Wallabies and Brumbies captain Stephen Moore said news of overseas interest came as no surprise considering Pocock's World Cup performances, and urged the ARU to do everything in its power to keep him in the system.

"I think every club in the world would be keen to have a player like that on their books," Moore said on Tuesday in Canberra.

"The Brumbies will do everything they can to keep him in Australian rugby as well; he's a very important player and he had a great World Cup.

"He's certainly a very valuable member of both teams. But that stuff will work itself out in due course."

Pocock hinted he might be interested in moving on when he signed his latest deal.

"I tried to be pretty up-front and honest during negotiations; that I feel like I can fully commit to next year," he told Fairfax Media at the time.

"But I'd be lying at this stage if I said I wanted to sign a two or three-year deal and I can fully commit to those years."

Levine said Pocock was reassessing all aspects of his life post-2016, including study options.
