A police car has crashed into a house in Perth's north, shocking a woman who was home alone at the time, but no one was injured.

Officers were pursuing an allegedly stolen car on Mirrabooka Avenue in Dianella at 12.45pm on Wednesday when they lost control on Verbena Crescent and hit a gate at the front of the house, then smashed into the lounge room.

The woman inside was treated for shock and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

Three officers, from the Mirrabooka Detectives office, were not hurt, but the driver of the allegedly stolen car got away.

Police are investigating the incident.
