Police find $90K during Vic car stop

A traffic stop in Melbourne has uncovered more than $90,000 in cash on Boxing Day.

Police in Melbourne have found more than $90,000 in a car during a routine traffic stop.

Officers made the discovery after pulling over a 30-year-old driver in the city's southeast and searching the vehicle about midnight (AEDT) on Thursday.

The Honda sedan contained the large bundle of cash as well as methamphetamine, police say.

The driver has been charged with drug possession and drug trafficking.
