Police halt search for missing WA couple

The search for missing WA couple Jeremy and Marama Sim has been suspended, police say.

The search for missing WA couple Jeremy and Marama Sim has been suspended until more information was received, say police.

The air and sea search for a missing West Australian couple not seen or heard from more than a week has been suspended.

Jeremy Sim, 41, and Marama Sim, 38, parents to three daughters aged under 18, left Esperance to go camping last Tuesday but have not contacted anyone, although there was evidence of their phone being detected last Sunday.

Police say they are still looking for the couple and might resume they search if they receive further information and want anyone who sees their gold 2002 Nissan Patrol, registration '02 ESP', to call them.

An air and land search covering thousands of kilometres moved to a coastal area west of Esperance on Wednesday after the mobile phone was detected.
