Police have released a CCTV image of a man who is wanted in connection with an alleged "upskirting" incident on a Sydney train.

The man was seen filming and taking photos up the skirt of a 20-year-old woman who was standing beside him on a train travelling between Blacktown and Parramatta Stations on the morning of February 3, police say.

The woman then moved and the man, believed to be aged in his 50s or 60s, got off at Parramatta.
