Police hunt for mystery super man

Brisbane police are on the hunt for a real life super man who staged a daring rescue in sharp business attire.

There was no phone booth or cape, but there was a suit and a daring rescue that would have made Superman proud.

Police in Brisbane are determined to track down the well-dressed hero who rushed to the aid of a young man trapped in a burning home in May.

Officers have so far found four people who stopped at Mount Gravatt to help an off-duty police officer get the tools he needed to break into the blazing home and save the man.

But the fifth - who staged the rescue in sharp business attire - has remained elusive.

"The police service wants to formally recognise all of those who assisted in the rescue of the man for their bravery and courage," police said on Monday.

The mystery man is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 20s or 30s, and about 193cm tall. He was dressed in business attire and was with a woman.
