Police have identified two people in a video showing a French woman suffering a torrent of threatening, racist abuse on a Melbourne bus.
Police are investigating the video, which shows fellow passengers verbally abusing French tourist Fanny Desaintjores, 22 and her friends onboard a bus in the city's southern suburbs on November 11.
Victoria Police say they have identified a man and woman in the video, as well as a victim of the confrontation.
"Police have spoken with a woman believed to be one of the victims however we are still appealing for anyone who was on the bus to come forward," police said in a statement on Friday.
The footage, captured by stand-up comedian Mike Nayna, has been viewed more than a million times on YouTube and been reported around the world.

Mr Nayna said that after the Frenchwoman started singing in French, a female passenger chanted at her "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie", before another person shouted at her to "speak English or die".
Ms Desaintjores says she doesn't judge Australians for the isolated incident and she had never before experienced such hatred during a three-month trip through Australia.
