Police issue warning to Tiahleigh's killer

Queensland police say those responsible for the death of Brisbane schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer shouldn't relax while investigations continue.

Police have no suspects, cause of death or idea exactly when she went missing but say those behind Tiahleigh Palmer's death shouldn't get too comfortable.

Nearly three weeks after the 12-year-old was last seen at Logan's Marsden State High School, investigators are still without solid answers regarding her suspected murder.

Hours of CCTV and dashcam footage have been logged and hundreds of pieces of information have been collected from members of the public.

Up to 50 detectives continue to investigate the crime and an additional team of 20 officers has been recruited to analyse the footage in a bid to nail down just when and how Tiahleigh left school on October 30.

Detective Superintendent Dave Hutchinson says while there's no concrete evidence at this stage which would help solve the mystery, police are far from defeated.

"There's still a lot to be done, it's certainly not over with yet," he said on Wednesday.

"The next knock at the door might just be police so don't feel too comfortable."

Operations near where Tiahleigh's body was found on the bank of a Gold Coast river six days after her disappearance are largely over.

But a Crime Stoppers marquee remains outside her school and Supt Hutchinson said people were still coming forward to provide possible leads.

The search for Tiahleigh's purple school backpack and her uniform is also ongoing.

"There's a big investigating machine working in the background, it's still at the very early stages," Supt Hutchinson said.

"We feel confident we'll get a result eventually."
