Police officer charged with assault in NSW

A police officer in Bathurst has been charged with assault.

A police officer in Bathurst, in central-western NSW, is set to face court over an assault charge.

It's alleged the assault happened in September 2013 while the officer was off duty.

The officer will appear at Bathurst Local Court on February 27.
