Police search for body of Donald Mackay

Police are excavating a property in New South Wales' Riverina, searching for the body of anti-drug campaigner Don Mackay.

Authorities are following a new tip-off that his body may be down a mine shaft.

Mackay went missing in 1977.

Police intensified investigations last year, offering $200,000 for further information about the case.
