Police seek burglars after selfies appear

A US burglary victim has logged into her cloud computing account and saw selfies of a man and woman taken on her missing mobile device.

US authorities are looking for two people whose selfies appeared in the online storage account of a Southern California burglary victim.

Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Joshua Dubin says investigators don't know if the people in the photos are the burglars, but they're definitely "persons of interest".

Dubin says a Santa Clarita woman returned home July 30 to discover thieves apparently had broken in through a window and ransacked the place, taking cash and electronics, including either her mobile phone or tablet.

Dubin says a few days later, the woman logged into her cloud computer account and saw photos taken after the burglary of a man and woman she didn't know.

Dubin says investigators want to find them and determine whether they might have bought stolen property - or perhaps swiped it themselves.
