Police seize $5m of drugs in bikie raid

Police have conducted raids on multiple bikie-connected properties in northern NSW, with more than $5 million worth of cannabis and MDMA seized.

NSW police have seized more than $5 million worth of cannabis, MDMA and other drugs and charged nine people after a raid on properties linked to the Lone Wolf outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) in northern NSW.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after police found more than 900 plants and 50kg of dried cannabis leaf on a property at Jiggi - 20km northwest of Lismore.

He was hit with two charges of cultivating large commercial quantities of a prohibited plant, deal with proceeds of crime, supplying commercial quantities of a prohibited drug and using electricity without authority.

He is due to appear at Lismore Local Court on Friday.

Among the other eight to be charged on Thursday, one 65-year-old man had two hydroponic set-ups with 57 cannabis plants and $13,000 cash on the property, while a further 18 plants and numerous ecstasy pills were seized from the East Lismore home of a 22-year-old man, while others had OMCG paraphernalia.

Police also issued firearms prohibition orders and consorting warnings to nine members of the Lone Wolf OMCG, including one man whose firearms licence was suspended and had registered firearms seized.
