Queensland's Labor government is on track for a comfortable election win at the upcoming state poll, according to a new poll.

The Essential poll, published by the Guardian, shows Annastacia Palaszczuk's government should win re-election at the next poll, with 54 per cent of the two-party preferred vote.

Labor's primary vote is 35 per cent. the poll shows, with support for the LNP at 34 per cent,.

The poll also showed Pauline Hanson's One Nation, which some experts say could hold the balance of power after the election, receiving 13 per cent of the vote, with the Greens on 10 per cent.

An election is not due until early next year but there is speculation Ms Palaszczuk will call it for next month, possibly on November 18.
