Gladys Berejiklian says she's bracing for huge swings against her government as she prepares her first real test as NSW premier at this weekend's by-elections.

"By-elections are never easy and certainly for a government facing three of them in one day - it's a big ask," Ms Berejiklian told reporters in Manly on Friday.

Voters will take to the polls in Manly, North Shore and Gosford on Saturday following the resignation of local MPs, including former premier Mike Baird and health minister Jillian Skinner.
