Pompeo: IS likely behind Sri Lanka attacks

There is "every indication" the terror attacks that killed 359 people in Sri Lanka were inspired by Islamic State, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says there is "every indication" that the Easter Sunday bomb attacks in Sri Lanka that killed 359 people were inspired by Islamic State.

"Every indication is that this was at the very least inspired by ISIS," Pompeo said in an interview with CBS News on Wednesday, referring to the group by an acronym.
