Western Sydney Wanderers coach Tony Popovic says it wont be too long before his side finds its groove in front of goal.
The Wanderers enjoyed a host of chances against Adelaide United in their 1-1 draw at Coopers Stadium on Friday night but lacked the killer edge needed to claim all three points.
Romeo Castelen looked the most dangerous in a best afield performance, while Spaniard Andreu stole an 83rd minute equaliser after his own goal gave United a 1-0 lead midway through the first half.
Popovic said it was a much-improved display by the Wanderers after a disappointing 3-1 opening round loss at home to Brisbane.
"I think we got into their box quite easily," Popovic said.
"At the moment it's that final pass, or the decision, or the touch, but that's coming.
"It was better than last week, it will keep getting better.
"The players will get fitter, they'll get sharper."
The Wanderers turn their attention to the derby next Saturday night when they take on Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium.
Popovic is hopeful he can welcome back key players including Spanish stopper Alberto Aguilar who missed the United clash.
Attacker Mark Bridge and defender Shannon Cole could also be in line for selection, however Popovic said he is reluctant rush anyone back prematurely.
"Well see some more players coming back into the team soon," Popovic said.
"It's hard to say (when), they're back training at the moment.
"We're hopeful we can get a couple of players back, but we wont rush them.
"If they're ready they'll be back if not, they'll have to wait another week."
