Port clear Wingard for AFL return

Port Adelaide forward Chad Wingard will return to AFL action on Sunday against Brisbane after recovering from concussion.

Dynamic Port Adelaide forward Chad Wingard has passed a fitness test and will return from concussion in Sunday's AFL game against Brisbane.

"He trained this morning pretty well, albeit he has to recover and be fine over the next 36 hours," Port coach Ken Hinkley told reporters on Friday.

Hinkley said novice ruckman Dougal Howard has been dropped from Port's team to host the Lions at Adelaide Oval, with Jackson Trengove to return from a one-match suspension.
