It might be too little, too late but Port Adelaide rookie Karl Amon reckons his side are starting to deliver some of their best football.
Despite a finals berth looking increasingly unlikely, the Power kicked the highest score of the 2016 AFL season in Saturday's 25.23 (173) to 11.13 (79) thumping of Brisbane.
Amon, who has played 11 games in his second AFL season, says the emphatic win showed what the Power are capable of when firing.
"The style we played, we got back to Port Adelaide football," he said on Wednesday.
"(We were) tough inside and then really took it on the outside which was good to get back to."

The 20-year-old midfielder, who gathered 15 touches and booted two goals at the Gabba, described the 94-point victory as his best game of the season.
But he admitted he had lacked consistency throughout his second year in the AFL.
"I think that's always been my weakness," he said.
"I'll always go missing for maybe a quarter in the game.
"That's something we're trying to work on. I think it's just working on little things in your game that you can improve on (and) staying involved."
Already three wins shy of eight-placed North Melbourne, Port face one of the AFL's toughest road tests when they take on Sydney at the SCG on Saturday.
Amon said Port's hard-nosed midfielders would relish the opportunity to test themselves against the Swans, who are ranked number one in the competition for contested possessions.
