Team pursuit starter Alex Porter is in the Australian team for the world track cycling championships in Poland, six weeks after breaking a collarbone.
Porter was a member of the 4000m quartet that broke the world record at last year's Commonwealth Games, breaking the three minutes 50 seconds barrier for the first time.
The South Australian suffered the injury when he crashed out of last month's national madison championships at Melbourne Arena.
Porter will join fellow world record holders Leigh Howard, Sam Welsford and Kelland O'Brien, while Cam Scott will join them in the men's track endurance team for his worlds' debut.
Veteran Cam Meyer is also in the track endurance line-up and he will more likely compete in the mass-start events.
Cycling Australia named a team of 17 riders for the event which runs from February 27 to March 3 in Pruszkow.
Defending world sprint champion Matthew Glaetzer and in-form Stephanie Morton headline the sprint group.
Cycling Australia performance director Simon Jones said their No.1 goal remains being ready for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
"These world championships provide a great opportunity to benchmark where we are at against the world's best," Jones said.
"However the focus will be about learning rather than winning.
"As we build towards Tokyo the focus will increasingly be on performance, but performing with a clear strategy and winning processes."
