Port Adelaide's prized recruit Charlie Dixon says he's finally come to grips with living in an AFL bubble.
Ex-Gold Coast forward Dixon says he initially found the scrutiny in Adelaide "brutal" and "relentless".
"It's tough coming from the environment that I was in at the Gold Coast where there is not so many eyes on you," Dixon told reporters on Monday.
"But down here, it's pretty brutal. And I sort of found that after the Crows game. It's pretty relentless."
"It is very different to the Gold Coast. ... everyone loves it down here."
Dixon, who kicked five goals in Port's 77-point Sunday thrashing of Brisbane, said he was now enjoying the extra pressure to perform from fans.
"I have really enjoyed playing in front of the Adelaide crowd, it's unreal," he said.
" ... There is the other end of it, where we don't play good footy and you walk off the ground and they're not happy with us - and rightly so.
"But that is just football. I have just realised that is just the way they are down here and you can't really do too much about it."
The 10th-placed Power, steadied by consecutive wins, expect All Australian Robbie Gray, sidelined the past two matches because of an injured hamstring, to press for a recall for Sunday's away trip to play Carlton.
