Portugal women's surfing to start on day 4

Surfing has been called ON after three successive lay days at the Cascais Women's Pro in Portugal.

The Cascais Women's Pro in Portugal, the eighth stop on the Women's World Surf League tour, has been called ON in three-to-four (1 metre) foot surf at the back-up site of Guincho.

"Great conditions on offer this morning at Guincho and we've called competition on," said WSL Deputy Commissioner, Jessi Miley-Dyer.

"We'll monitor the surfing throughout the day, but we've placed Rounds 2 and 3 on standby in order to take full advantage of the surf available today."

Of the Australians due to surf in the opening round, Laura Enever was drawn in heat two, Sally Fitzgibbons is in heat five and Tyler Wright joins Dimity Stoyle in heat six.
