Arrangements are under way for a third piece of possible debris from MH370 to be examined by authorities.

The suspected aircraft debris was found on the shores of La Reunion last week, the Indian Ocean island where the first confirmed piece of debris was found last July.

In a statement on Wednesday, the MH370 Joint Agency Coordination Centre said negotiations were under way with relevant authorities to arrange for the examination of the latest debris.

JACC also confirmed a second piece, found in Mozambique earlier this month, was being transported to Canberra for further investigation.
