Potent Pies forward Moore tweaks hammy

Collingwood's Darcy Moore is set for yet another stint on the sidelines after hurting his hamstring during the Magpies' upset AFL win over West Coast.

Collingwood young gun Darcy Moore is sweating on the results of scans after arguably his brightest performance at AFL level.

Moore clutched six marks, five of them contested, and booted 3.2 in a dominant opening half at the MCG on Saturday.

But the 20-year-old played no part in the second half of the Magpies' 19-point win over West Coast after tweaking his hamstring in the second term.

"We didn't want to take any risks. We'll know a bit more later on," Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley said.

"Whether it's a strain or a tear, grade one or grade two, I think there will be something there.

"We'll assess that during the week."

A season-ending injury would be a cruel blow for Moore, who underwent surgery on a fractured collarbone earlier in 2016.

The son of Collingwood great Peter Moore also dealt with a couple of injury setbacks in 2015, his first season at the club.

"He's played some pretty good footy. He only played the 10 games last year so he's still really young and still developing," Buckley said.

"He's got a lot of growth in him but his contest has always been really strong.

"He'll just get better and better. We're pretty bullish about where he can go."
