The agency reported that more complaints were received in 2012-2013 about workplace discrimination because of pregnancy than of disability, which previously took the top spot.
The total number of complaints made to the Ombudsman was 235, with 28 per cent from pregnant women.
Complaints about disability discrimination amounted to 21 per cent of the total, and 11 per cent came from people who felt their family situations or carer responsibilities caused them to be treated differently.
