Premiers to gather for COAG in December

The next Council of Australian Governments meeting will be held in Canberra on December 9.

Malcolm Turnbull has set December 9 as the next meeting of the Council of Australian Governments.

The prime minister and premiers will gather in Canberra for the first time since April to discuss schools funding, tax reform, disability insurance and Northern Territory statehood among other issues.

It will be the first COAG since the NT, ACT and federal elections.
