Pressure to house displaced Iraqis 'acute'

The UNHCR is continuing a major aid operation for almost half a million displaced people in northern Iraq.

The United Nations refugee agency is continuing a major aid operation for almost half a million displaced people in northern Iraq.

It says across Iraq an estimated 1.8 million people have been displaced since January.

UNHCR representative Ned Colt is based in the northern Kurdish region of Erbil.

He told Zara Zaher the pressure on accommodation for the refugees remains acute.
