Pretorius called up to replace Dale Steyn

South African paceman Dale Steyn will spend at least six months on the sidelines after breaking his shoulder during his side's Test win over Australia.

Allrounder Dwaine Pretorius has been called into South Africa's Test squad as a replacement for injured paceman Dale Steyn.

Pretorius will link up with the team in Hobart ahead of the second Test against Australia, which starts on November 12.

Steyn is set to spend at least six months on the sidelines after breaking his shoulder while bowling during South Africa's 177-run win over Australia at the WACA Ground.

Pretorius has notched three ODIs for South Africa but is yet to make his Test debut.

Morne Morkel and Kyle Abbott are the leading contenders to replace Steyn in the XI for Hobart.
