A remand prisoner has died in a West Australian hospital after he was found injured last month.
Guards found Alf Eades, aged in his 40s, alone in his cell at Hakea Prison on February 26.
He was rushed to hospital but died on March 11.
It is being treated as a death in custody, which is subject to a police investigation led by the Homicide Squad.
The WA Department of Justice is also conducting an internal review into how Mr Eades suffered his injuries.
